Family Kitchen for Grade II Property

August 17, 2022 by admin Filed Under: Residential

The owners of this lovely Grade II property in Cambridgeshire wanted a large family kitchen. By part converting the existing building and linking to a new extension we were able to fulfil their requirements and more… Sliding doors lead to a large veranda offering much-needed shade on days like today, and with a level threshold using the same floor tiles in and out there is a seamless transition between inside and out.

Suffolk Farmhouse Scheme

May 10, 2021 by admin Filed Under: Residential

Having transformed this client’s parents’ house in Long Melford 10 years ago, it is a pleasure to be working with the next generation remodelling their property to give the ‘farmhouse’ look. These 3D renders shows conversion of the greenhouse into an orangery and the garage into a utility room, boot room and study, with guest accommodation above. and the addition of a playroom and cart lodge. Also a new playroom to the rear and a cart lodge to the front.  Watch this space and follow us on Facebook for updates as the project progresses.

ARB safety & sustainability guidelines for architects

Everyone deserves a built environment which helps people to live healthy, happy and safe lives. Anyone using an architect, or an environment designed by an architect should have confidence in their professionalism and quality. ARB protects the public by ensuring everyone admitted to the Register has the necessary skills, knowledge, experience and behaviours to practise as an architect.

Competent fire and life safety design is of central importance to the services architects offer. After the Grenfell Tower tragedy, Dame Judith Hackitt’s Review ‘Building a Safer Future’ recommended that ARB should address fire safety in design as part of the competence levels required of architects.

Kitchen Extension for Suffolk Property

Kitchen extension

Thank you to M Jarrald Construction & Carpentry for sharing this fabulous footage (click on image below to view) showing a Tim Moll Architecture kitchen extension for a property in Kersey, Suffolk. The clients brief was for a family style kitchen with an eating area and easy access to an outdoor area. Minimal re-modelling of walls took place in order to make the space work for a busy family. The client also required alteration to the front of the property to house a new porch. This was another successful collaboration with M Jarrald Construction & Carpentry. Watch this space for upcoming projects…

Scandinavian Inspired Renovation

September 12, 2016 by admin Filed Under: Residential

Scandinavian style house

Lodge Farmhouse in Suffolk was a very tired looking house with a small kitchen and not suited to modern living. The client approached Tim Moll Architecture with a Scandinavian inspired brief to create a very large ‘family kitchen’, new master bedroom and to improve the stair area which was very dark. Our design approach was to create a two storey side extension and a single storey kitchen with a vaulted ceiling. The kitchen opens up to a new terrace which is enclosed by a curved brick wall.

Coastal Cottage Transformation

August 4, 2016 by admin Filed Under: Residential

Tim Moll Architecture are proud to present this transformed holiday home near Aldeburgh. The plot started off as a very tired pair of semi-detached cottages. The use of contemporary larch, powder coated aluminum windows and doors and sensitive use of the original pan tiles and brickwork where possible combined to transform the derelict cottages to a striking holiday cottage.
