Residential: Extensive loft conversion and extension, Nr Hadleigh, Suffolk
Project Brief:
To turn an unattractive 1970’s bungalow into a contemporary two-storey dwelling.
Solution:
This property underwent a dramatic transformation both physically and ecologically. A German render system was installed along with HardiePlank weatherboard for enhanced durability and cedar cladding for sustainability. The natural slate roofing features two foldout Velux Cabrio balcony windows to add air, light and take advantage of the great views this property enjoys. Whilst a large balcony from the new master bedroom makes the most of the afternoon/evening sun. Solar Photovoltaics were installed to power the Ground Source heat pump and to move closer to fulfilling the clients dreams of eventually going off grid.
